How to prevent knee pain

Fox Sports is launching a video series highlighting tips on how to stay healthy and prevent knee injuries.

Fox Sports’ latest instalment, called ‘The Knee Pain Project’, will include videos of doctors and other health professionals explaining the symptoms of the knee pain condition, which can lead to serious complications.

The series will highlight how to keep your body and mind in tip-top condition, with the aim of providing a more effective approach to managing pain and managing the symptoms.

Dr Jennifer Smith, who leads the clinical research team at the Knee Foundation, told the Nine Network’s ‘Healthline’ programme the show was “a great opportunity to look at how we are all contributing to knee pain”.

“We’ve been watching what’s going on with knee pain for many years, and we know how important it is for the knee to function, and that is not just a physical problem,” she said.

“We’re also seeing a huge amount of the body working hard at trying to prevent and manage pain.”

So, hopefully by looking at what the research shows, we can find ways to manage it better.

“Dr Smith said the videos were aimed at getting more people interested in the condition, and encouraged them to get to know their doctors and get their opinions.”

Dr Matthew Smith, chief executive of the Knees Foundation, said the show would provide “an exciting opportunity for the world of sports to get a better understanding of this complex condition”.””

And it’s one that needs to be treated seriously and appropriately.”
