Why are the CDC and FDA so weak on Ebola?

The CDC and the FDA are both failing to act quickly on the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the Washington Post reported.

The agency announced last week that it was suspending all quarantine of Americans in the U.S. for four weeks, but the CDC announced last month it would be suspending all travel to and from the U,S.

by travelers coming from affected countries for two weeks.

Meanwhile, the FDA announced on Tuesday it is delaying the approval of a vaccine that is supposed to protect against the Ebola virus until September, citing the virus’ spread.
